Coronavirus (Covid19) - Advice to Parents

17th March 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Following updated Government advice last night, all children who have, or who live in a house with someone who has, a persistent cough and/or a high temperature should now self-isolate for 14 days and must not attend school.  This is a change to the guidance given last week.

The Government has also advised that only essential travel takes place and that we limit our contact with others.  With this guidance in mind, the following steps have also been taken:

  •          Only staff, children, parents and health professionals will be allowed in the building.
  •          We will not be travelling outside the school grounds.

This means that, until further notice:

  •          Yoga, violin and football after school clubs will not take place.
  •          Swimming will not take place.
  •          The planned trip to Holy Island will be postponed.

There is the possibility that, if instructed to by the Government or if we cannot safely staff the school due to illness, we may need to close.  In the event of closure, we will notify you as soon as possible of this and will be providing home learning packs and regular updates.

Thank you for your understanding and support at this challenging time.
