This Wild Wednesday was all about science and plants.
We explored the field and all the trees, with Mrs Aitchison's help we carefully examined the leaves to identifying the tree.
We then used the leaves and crayons to create rubbings and record the school trees.
We collected leaves from all the fabulous trees on our field, the greener the better for this job!
Then Miss Swallow helped us to safely use the hammers and create leaf prints.
Once we had finished with the hammers we opened the fabric up to find a great symmetrical pattern.
We had fun cutting, sticking and combining different materials to make junk-model flowers.
We had to make sure we included the 4 main parts of a plant; roots, stem, leaves and flower.
All our models turned out differently just like all the different plants around us.
