RSPB’s Big Schools’ Bird watch

We were delighted to participate in this year’s RSPB’s Big Schools’ Bird watch. This survey gives the children the opportunity to observe, discuss and count the many different breeds of birds in our own locality. The children were so observant and worked together fantastically. It was wonderful to watch how collaborative our Year 3 and 4 pupils worked with their younger school mates. We had some very eager pupils who even managed to remember to bring their binoculars! We were especially fortunate with the wonderful Spring weather. The children used four different locations to bird watch. Mrs. Aitchison and Mrs. Wilson helped the children to make their very own bird feeders.
