Week beginning 24th September

This week we have been very busy in Puffin Class.
On Tuesday, Reception and Key Stage 1 went on a trip to the Grace Darling Museum in Bamburgh where they  learnt all about what life would have been like in a lighthouse and then, after some yummy seaside chips at lunchtime, they went ona boat to see Longstone Lighthouse where Grace Darling lived and where she saw the Forfarshire crash.  We thought that it would have been very scary and that Grace Darling must have been petrified!  We also saw lots of seals playing and they were very curious about us.  Later in the week, we re-enacted Grace Darling's rescue and then Key Stage 1 wrote letters about what had happened and how they felt.
On Thursday we had our Harvest Festival and we all sat, listened and sang beautifully.
Friday was the best day as we had our Macmillan Coffee Morning.  We helped to serve our guests and to raise lots of money for charity.  In the afternoon, we had a cake party in the hall - it was lots of fun.
