World Book Day

16th March 2018

Monday was our Book Day (postponed because of the snow) and we had a fabulous day.
We started the day with Breakfast with Books in the hall.  The hall had been transformed into a cosy reading corner with cushions, rugs and beanbags and of course, plenty of books.  Children and parents enjoyed croissants, brioche and lots of reading.
During the day, children enjoyed a range of book related activities including making bookmarks, designing new covers for books and sharing their favourite stories.  Class 1 thoroughly enjoyed a visit from Class 3 who came to read with them.
We finished our day with a Bedtime Story in the hall.  The lights were dimmed and we enjoyed biscuits and juice whilst Miss Jones read 'Little Red Reading Hood to us' - a fabulous book which we all recommend.
