Norham School

Norham School was opened in 1911. The School took Church of England status in May 2005 and became Norham St Ceolwulf’s Church of England First School.

The building is built of old stone and the windows are big and high with lots of panes of glass. Soon we are going to make our School bigger by building a new classroom and changing some of the areas in the school.

There are 34 children in the School in three classes. Mrs Munro teaches Nursery and Reception, Miss Johnston teaches Key Stage 1 and Miss Fleming teaches Key Stage 2.

In July 2006 Mr Cameron retired after being Head Teacher for 26 years.

Our new Head Teacher is Mrs Grainger. When Mrs Grainger came to be our Head Teacher in September 2006 she was already Head Teacher at Cornhill First School. We share Mrs Grainger with Cornhill and our two schools work together as a Federation.
