Welcome Message

Welcome to the Norham St Ceolwulf’s website where we hopefully give you a flavour of what makes our school a special place to both work and play.  If you can’t find exactly what you need please just contact us and we will do our best to help.

As a village school we are committed to meeting the needs of our local community, whilst preparing the children for a life long journey of learning in the wider world.

Our eager children have a real thirst for learning and our enthusiastic staff team are committed and dedicated to ensuring that each and every child achieves. We have high standards and expect the best from everyone in our team.

For over 70 years Norham St Ceolwulf's CE School has been delivering positive outcomes for the pupils in its care.

Children are at the heart of all we do at Norham St Ceolwulf’s. They provide the inspiration for the whole school community to continually innovate and improve, so enabling us to provide the best possible learning experiences to everyone of our pupils.

A firm foundation for a ‘Lifetime of Learning’ combines the best of Christian Values with the very latest in teaching methods, allowing us to deliver our vision of enabling all children whatever their need to fulfil their potential. This is achieved by our children enjoying rich and engaging learning experiences, that promote ownership of learning and lead to ever increasingly high standards of achievement in all areas of learning, both in the class and in play.

Although the pictures, videos and words on the website may provide an insight, if you really want to discover Norham St Ceolwulf's please arrange a visit. The children would be honoured to meet you and explain to you why they are so proud of being part of the St Ceolwulf’s family.

A shared Christian Vision means we are ACE!

It is our shared Christian Faith and Values that helps us to create our school ethos, allowing us to deliver a fully inclusive approach to learning for all those who wish to join our very special community.

Our faith and vision is summed up in three words:

  • Achievement
  • Creativity
  • Endeavour

Each represents a core area of our approach in school and is based on key principles  of Christian teaching.

  • Achievement
The message of  Philippians 4:13 “I can do all this through him who gives me strength”, guides us in our pursuit of achievement in school.
  • Creativity
The message of Colossians 3:23,  ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.’ guides us in our creativity within school.
  • Endeavour
The message of  Luke 21:19, ‘Stand firm and you will win life.’ guides us in our endeavours in school.
